This week’s work.

Friday 22nd September | 1 comment

Year 3 have been continuing to learn all about the stone age and this week have discovered the reasons why it is split into three periods. They have done work around the developments in tool design and how this influenced the changes in lifestyle, which in turn led to more advanced settlements. Finally this week, the children have created some amazing cave painting style art work.

In Maths, the children have continued to develop their knowledge of place value; how much numbers are worth, how they are ordered and the rules regarding rounding numbers to the nearest ten.  They have also practised spelling numbers as words.

The literacy topic concludes next week with the children’s writing.

In 3M spellings will no longer be given as homework. Spellings will be practised through various activities as a morning starter.
